  • Bird feathers, blue enamel
  • length 10.4 cm
• the rectangular box composed of faux lapis-lazuli enamel panels, matching central lid concealing the singing bird • red feathered singing bird with swiveling body, flapping wings and moving beak

Condition

Amusing 20th century singing bird box, the case is ingood condition with minor wear to gilding, the faux lapis panels in good order. Perpspective bidders should note the bird moves his wings but does not sing at this time. A distinct mechanical noise from the bellows can be heard rather than the bird song, the bird moves and the wings flap but not evenly, a complete overhaul is required. In addition the top plate is not flush to the rest of the case and will need to be adjusted,with bird shape winder,
