- A GOLD, NEPHRITE AND LAPIS LAZULI DESK TIMEPIECECIRCA 1930
- height 7.4 cm
• circular nickel lever movement • lapis lazuli dial with 12-sided inlaid gold ring • gold bezel heighted with blue enamel Roman numerals • carved square nephrite case, the corners accented with gold pyramid-form studs, beveled edges, hinged strut • case, dial and movement signed
Condition
The movement is running at the time of cataloguing, however it may require service soon. The dial shows no visible imperfections, and it is composed to fitted segments for each of the 12 hours, radiating from the inlaid gold ring. There are no losses to the enamel hour markers to the bezel. The nephrite shows no losses and virtually no scratches. The case back is numbered 0648 and the strut is numbered 2125 on the outward facing side and 2125 and what appears to read 452 to the inward facing side. The movement ring is also numbered 2125. The underdial is stamped 306452 and the back of the dial is stamped 3616.
