The movement is running and the alarm is functioning at the time of cataloguing, however it may require service soon. The dial appears to have some re-finishing to the luminscence and it should be noted that the dial reads 'Memodate' instead of 'Memovox'. The case shows scuffs throughout from wear. The movement is numbered 1881933. The inside of the case back is numbered 1099785 and 6-67 and E859.

The LeCoultre Polaris automatic alarm diving watch was launched in 1965 as a successor to the Memovox DeepSea. Designed with a massive 42 mm case, this particular watch was made for the American market and designed for recreational scuba diving. Watches destined for the U.S. market typically featured a J.B. Champion stainless steel bracelet. The original 1960s production run of the Polaris line resulted in only 1,600 examples.
