Catalogue Note
The present work relates closely to a silvered plaquette in Frankfurt of almost identical dimensions depicting Noah's Ark (Weber 1975, no. 627), featuring very similar animals, figures, and rays emanating from the heavens. That example has sometimes been associated with Paulus Willemsz van Vianen, though that attribution is implausible.
