The canvas is unlined and stable. The paint surface is in good condition though lifting slightly in areas of the sky where the craquelure is more apparent. Some old, discolored retouching is visible to the naked eye, particularly in the sky and surrounding the tower. Inspection under UV reveals scattered retouching throughout. The painting would benefit from a light clean and fresh varnish. Offered in a carved gilt wood frame.
