The canvas is relined, there is a very slight cleavage between the two canvas layers on the sight edge lower left. The paint surface is largely in good condition with some surface discoloration above the varnish. There are some abrasions to the background and minor scattered losses notably in the drapery of the lower section. Inspection under UV reveals scattered infilled losses to the background and edges and possible older strengthening in the drapery. Offered in a carved gilt wood frame with losses.
