Canvas appears to have been thinly glue relined. paint surface has been a bit pressed and is somewhat thin in the darks, most noticeably in the drapery of the Virgin at right side. examination under ultraviolet reveals retouching to an old scratch or repaired tear in background upper right. otherwise, there are just some other small retouches scattered here and there. painting is presentable and can be hung as is. In a gilt wood frame with some nicks and losses to gilding.
