Condition
Gossin:
Overall good condition with firing cracks to the surface of the terracotta at several places.
Both sculptures are cast in the round and hollowed out leaving a circular opening on the backside.
Both are signed: GOSSIN. FRES PARIS, on the plinth.
Male figure:
Male: numbered 130 on the back.
His nosetip has been retouched. The fingers of his left hand appear to have been restored.
The male figure has a wooden cane which is weather worn.
Female figure:
Her nosetip appears to have been retouched; the fingers of her left hand appear to have been restored.
Very decorative pieces in good condition overall.
