Condition

Very good condition overall with a few minor chips to the edges of the grey marble drapery and to the curls of his hair. Some natural veining to the marble head and face as can be seen on the photograph. A few fine hairline cracks to his neck below his head. Very attractive marble in good condition overall.

Un buste antique de Caracalla est présenté dans les collections du British Museum à Londres. L'Empereur romain Caracalla règna de 211 à 217. Il est l'auteur du célèbre Edit de Caracalla de 212, qui étendit la citoyenneté romaine à tous les habitants de l'Empire.
