Description
- 18 karat gold, green beryl, cultured pearl
The necklaces comprised of 69 fluted green beryl beads measuring approximately 23.0 to 12.0 mm, spaced by 67 cultured pearls measuring approximately 4.0 to 4.5 mm, the spherical gold clasps accented with granulation and twisted gold wire, lengths 19½ and 21½ inches.
Condition
In good condition overall. The fluted emerald beads are a light, slightly bluish green. They range from semi-transparent to translucent and all are heavily included which is typical for this type of bead. They exhibit some minor chipping, though the fluting is preserved throughout. The pearls are slightly off-round and silvery white, with soft rose overtones, good luster and relatively clean skins. Though there is some discoloration to the plunger style gold clasps, this could be fixed with a good polish.
