The bag composed of black velvet, the gold clasp applied with black and red enamel, the thumbpiece, hoop and handle supports set with old European-cut and single-cut diamonds, accented by onyx beads, completed by a gold link strap with a platinum slide applied with red enamel and set with single-cut diamonds, the total diamond weight approximately 2.95 carats, measuring approximately 8½ by 6 by ¾ inches, signed Cartier.

Condition

The velvet bag is 8 3/4" wide at the base; with minor amount of soiling and crushing of the nap; otherwise in good condition; the silk lining in good condition and not signed. Significant damage and losses to enamel and minor losses to the onyx by the clasp. The diamonds are near colorless and of decorative quality; one diamond on the clasp bearing a chip and one diamond missing. Signed Cartier on the interior of the gold frame.
