The present vase is inspired by a design by Massimiliano Soldani Benzi (1656-1740), Italian sculptor and medalist whose studio in Florence specialized in bronze figures, busts and medals often inspired by antiquity. He made multiple versions of similar ewers, two of which can be seen in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
With scattered small chip, abrasions and traces of light surface dirt. Winged figure of handle with old restored breaks to arm. Please note, that the vase is not hollow. In good condition.
