Condition

With scattered chips, losses and abrasions to edges and corners. Some very minor losses to surface; not extensive. Some areras with later paint; not extensive. Scattered surface scratches and scuffs and isolated areas of discoloration. In good condition.

The scagliola slab is comparable to one in the Cassa di Risparmio in Carpi, which has been linked with the Modena scagliola manufacturer, Simone Setti (active 1659-1668).
