Condition

Pile generally near original, closely sheared 1/10" with minor scattered areas of moth damage resulting in a few repaired holes, not extensive. Original light blue silk selvages with some losses in fraying. Ends with original knotted fringes, also with losses. A 1/10" repaired vertical slit at upper end of rug. A few smaller repaired slits also along upper end. Silk, warp and weft resulting in an extremely supple handle. Highly lustrous wool, luminous color, sound fabric and good overall condition.
