Description

  • marked on bases and with scratch weights, 10 by Andrew Fogelberg, London, 1776;  2 by maker's mark HG in rectangle, London, 1792; all reshaped and with added rims circa 1810-20

all shaped circular with applied gadrooned rims, the borders engraved with later arms under foliate mantles, altered

Provenance

The arms are those of Farquhar for Sir Thomas Harvey Farquhar, 2nd Baronet, eldest son of Sir Walter Farquhar, 1st Baronet and his wife Anne, 4th daughter of Thomas Stevenson.  Farquhar was born 27 June 1775 and married on 11 July 1809 Sybella Martha, only daughter and heiress of Rev. Morton Rockcliffe of Woodford, Essex.  He died on 12 January 1836.

Condition

as noted re alterations, all with scratches and scuffs to centers from use , a few with light salt stains, one with lead solder repair to split at underside of border opening and dings to border
