Description

The first worked in silk on linen, indistinctly signed, including the verse: It is education forms the common mind / just as the twig is bend the trees inclined. Initialed E.F. Height 15 3/4  in. by Width 17 in.; the second in silk on linen signed Mehitable B. Parker. Bradford, 1825. Height 8 1/4  in. by Width 8 in.; the third in silk on linen signed Isabella Mc Antier, with This Needle Wrought The Sampler... 1787. Height 17 5/8  in. by Width 17 1/4  in.

Anonymous: Darkened linen; pulled threads. McAntier: Overall darkening of linen.
