Description

  • Salter: Height 20¼ in. by Width 15¼ in.; Brown: Height 20 in. by Width 14½ in.
Both in watercolor, pen and ink on velvet and inscribed, respectively, in the original glass mat.  Both retain their original frames.

Provenance

Tolman from Richard H. and Virginia A. Wood, Baltimore, Maryland, 1965.

Condition

Brown: Stain and discoloration; backed with a piece of newspaper dated Friday morning, July 4, 1834. Tolman:Frame not original.
