Ce beau spécimen est l'un des plus complètement préservé tétrapodes du Paléozoïque. Ce fascinant fossile d'animal adulte montre un squelette robuste. Cet amphibien vivait dans les eaux froides des lacs du Permien et se nourrissait de petits poissons et de reptiles. Le fossile contraste remarquablement sur le fond marron doré de la matrice. Ce fossile est désormais rare et inaccessible car la carrière d'origine est définitivement close depuis 1986.
Condition
Native matrix with another fish fossilized (in the same geologic times). The amphibian is naturally in its matrix, the preparation is perfect, no retoration. Very rare because the quarry does not exist anymore since 1986. Comes from a Japanese museum.
