movement complete but not in going order. Dial with hairline cracks. Extremely well made contemporary style case in good contion.

Catalogue Note
Martin Matthew, now retired, was an internationally renowned goldsmith. The fourth generation of his family to be skilled in making watch cases, he uses tools and techniques similar to those used by his ancestors 200 years ago. A short film can be seen on the Victorian & Albert Museum website of Martin Matthews at work in his Clerkenwell workshop. He wrote a book on Engine-turning 1680 - 1980 Tools and Techniques in 1984.
