• a single sheet manuscript in ink on paper comprising numbered notes on the souscription watch, text on recto and verso, verso pasted to backing material of the frame, the document begins 'when I came back in 94 after 2 years away and finding my establishment upside down, in order to collect enough money I decided to sell by souscription a watch of a new construction' (dimensions of document 116 x 175 mm); together with another contemporary manuscript document in the hand of Antoine-Louis Breguet (Breguet's son) concerning the marine chronometer, No.3727 and the calculation of the wheel train [with diagrams], verso pasted to backing material (dimensions of document 205 x 242 mm), [both manuscripts in a single frame] (2)

Catalogue Note

The marine chronometer, Breguet No.3727 was completed in 1825 and sold on December 9, to Mr Ducom. Mr Ducom was Breguet's offical agent in the city of Bordeaux.
