Description

  • A brass universal equinoctial ring dial, London, circa 1800

  • 23.5cm. 9¼in. diameter
the meridian ring with suspension bow, engraved on the obverse 90-0-90 and signed Dollond, London, the reverse with 0-90 scale, the equinoctial ring engraved on the obverse with double I-XII hour scale, and divisions to two minutes, repeated on the inner edge with each twenty minutes numbered, the bridge with a pin hole sliding against calendar, zodiacal and declination scales

Condition

In generally good condition with some old marks and scratches though rather dirty.
