Description
- mahogany, leather
with a curved back above pierced splat with diapers above a loose cushion leather seat on winged lioness monopodia carved with stylised scallopshell and an anthemion supports and sabre back legs; leather cushion distressed
Condition
In otherwise good condition. Joints sound and sturdy. Old minor marks, chips and scratches commensurate with normal usage and age. Evidence of old minor worm appears to be no longer active. Old minor trapezoid shaped restoration where the arm meets the back and some old minor restorations to the other arm where it joins the back. The splat has some hairline construction cracks. The wood is a little dry looking and uneven colour in places and would benefit from a repolish according to taste.
