Catalogue Note
The seven plates of Clagny originally appeared in Mansart's Livre de tous les plans... de Clagny (Paris, 1680), but are also found in Mariette's monumental L'Architecture françoise of 1727 (lot 310), as are the plates of the Orangery and the stables.
