Catalogue Note
This is a composite volume, also containing plates from Giovanni Maggi's Fontane diverse (Rome: G.D. Rossi, 1645; BAL RIBA 2001), engraved by Maggi, Francesco Cordoba and Dominique Barrière. The last six plates are of statues, one signed by Stefano Scolari and another by Sadeler, apparently printed in Munich ("excudit Monachii"), although Scolari is known as a publisher in Venice (sometimes together with Marco Sadeler) between 1664 and 1687.
