Catalogue Note
All first editions. Cousin's work demonstrates to perfection the "tiers points" technique of perspective, which provided a method of constructing space and the way to foreshorten objects. Caus's work on perspective was dedicated to Henry, Prince of Wales, to whom Caus taught perspective.
