Condition
Overall the condition of the bronzes is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age, including a few small nicks and scratches. Both horses have been cast in two pieces and the joints are evident on the underside of the horses and screws are visible here. There are a few slightly visible original casting joints, including to the top of the mens' raised right arms. There are a few slightly visible original casting plugs, including at the back of the man's neck in the left group. The left group are loose from the base and one of the reins is partially detached (from the horse's mouth).
