Description

  • porphyry, gilt-bronze, marble
  • 6cm. high; 2¼in. obelisk; approx 13.5cm. diameter; 5¼in. bowls
comprising one in Egyptian porphyry, one in green granite, one in yelow granite and one in siena marble together with a mottled peach and white marble obelisk inscribed 'RUINES DES TUILERIES' and mounted with a roundel with three fleur de lys on a black marble base the underbase with an ink inscribed paper label 'Pyramide faite avec des marbres rouge dons les annes des ....Paris 15th Mars 1883... ... Palais Royal'

Condition

The obelisk has very minor chips especially to the base and areas of infill. The marble is slightly dirty and would benefit from a clean according to taste. The pink and black mottled bowl has a medium size chip to the rim. In otherwise good condition.
