Comprising: a gold powder compact, with a monogram E.Y engraved to the front; a rectangular gold cigarette case, chased and decorated with white enamel border, applied to the centre with a monogram of interlaced E's, highlighted with rose diamonds, British hallmarks for London, 1914, damaged; a silver snuff box with repoussé work lid, gilt interior, English, attributed to William Lestourgeon, 1749; a silver cigarette case, with a horse applied to the exterior, British hallmarks for Birmingham, 1950 and an engraved gold case, probably South American, early 18th century, with later inscription to the interior from Molly.
Condition
Gold Compact - Maker's mark to interior of case. Further accompanied by an Asprey pouch.
Silver gilt case - Stamped with makers marks WFW, British hallmarks for London, 1916, chased, key deficient. Tarnished could benefit from a careful professional clean. Containing two miniatures on ivory each depicting a portrait of a modest nude, on a beach and in a woodland scene respectively. Signed by the artist Beatrice Wainwright one dated 1915. The artist was most prolific 1909 - 1913, and exhibited at the RA. Together with a case Cartier, London, with scratches and bruises to the leather exterior.
Engraved gold case: Metal tests as 15 or 18 carat gold. Probably South American, early 18th century, with later inscription to the interior from Molly.
Cigarette case: scratches to surface. Accompanied by pouch.
Diamond cigarette case: enamel damaged. Diamonds bright and lively. Scratches to case. All items are in good condition.
