Comprising: a brooch composed of several pear-shaped apertures each suspending a briolette diamond drop, maker's marks and British hallmarks for London 1967; a pair of earrings of matching design, post and butterfly fittings, one earring with maker's marks; and a ring of similar design, size Q½, sizing band, unsigned.

Condition

Brooch stamped 18 for 18 carat gold. Brooch and one earring stamped with maker's mark JAD for John Donald. Sizing band on ring may be obscuring signature and hallmarks. Diamonds with estimated colour I-K, some M+, estimated clarity SI on average some stones I. Safety catch on brooch secure. One earring post bent, could benefit from attention of professional jeweller. Scratches to mounts consistent with wear. In very good condition.

Catalogue Note

Irene Kreitman was the eldest daughter of Tesco supermarket founder, Sir John Cohen.  Irene Kreitman and her husband Hyman were great supporters of the arts including the Wigmore Hall and the Tate Gallery and also collected twentieth century art.  Such was her passion for art that Irene Kreitman was a volunteer room guide at the Tate Gallery for over 25 years.
