Catalogue Note

Artisit's inscriptions:
(1) Writing in the shade of the tong tree.
(2) Mist and clouds along layered mountains.
(3) Streams and mountains bowing in green.
(4) Rosy waves on spring streams.
(5) Stream sounds on a wave of pines.
(6) Newly showered lush hills.
(7) Autumn wanes on river reeds.
(8) Cascade over a precipice.
(9) Reed hut among cloudy peaks.
(10) Late rowing on a clear stream.
(11) Sounds of the stream in a remote valley.
(12) Fishing on a snow-covered stream. When Weizhong wrote calligraphy, he invariably used Zuobo's paper. It is the same with painting. In a painting with insouciant brushwork and natural flourish, the paper deserves half the credit. The leaves of this album are unsmooth and stiff. I loosely put some dots and washes on them, without knowing whether they would cooperate or not. In mid-summer of the bingxu year (1766), inscribed by Xiangting Yuan Shu.
