  • ink on paper, hanging scroll
signed Yiqi Li Shizhuo, inscribed with a poem and a dedication, and four seals of the artist, shi zhuo si yin, qin zhai, yi hai, zhong xiao di, and two collectors' seals, xi yi, wen wu xin shang. The date seal yi hai, indicates that the work was painted in 1755

Condition

-Horizontal creases can be found across the middle part of the scroll as seen in the illustration -There are some light foxings near the lower edge -Close examination can reveal some minor restoration

Artist's inscription:
The firmament exhales and the air is filled with dust, but I can't refrain from coming to the Western Mountain with black pigment, yuban writing paper and cut sheets of Xuande paper in order to copy the yellow crane [Wang Meng] dipping into the pine coals.
In imitation of Wang Meng, adding this inscription in response to the fifth elder Nian. Yiqi Li Shizhuo.
