- Lacquered wood
carved and polychrome painted to one side with the 'one hundred birds', perched amidst rocks and blossoming trees and with ducks swimming on a lotus pond, all between mythical beast and auspicious object panels, the reverse with rows of fan and scroll-shaped panels enclosing antiques, landscapes, birds and mythical beasts, all reserved on a brown lacquer ground
Condition
This screen is in reasonable condition, but does have areas of repair to the sides where the panels are joined at the top and bottom. There are also other areas of restoration to the sides and to some of the feet. There is horizontal and virtical cracking to each of the panels.
