Description

  • gilt bronze and cloisonne enamel
of rectangular form, brightly enamelled on the top with beribboned an baxian (attributes of the Eight Immortals), the sides with flying bats and the underside with a band of florets, all on a turquoise ground, surmounted by a gilt-bronze dragon

Condition

This weight is generally in good condition, but there are areas of enamel loss surrounding the areas where the feet of the dragon meet the weight. Thre is also some rubbing to the gilding to the edges and general bubbling to the enamel thoughout.
