carved in the form of a peach, issuing from gnarled leafy branches bearing a smaller peach at the side, reticulated with a sinuous chilong clutching a lingzhi spray in its mouth forming the handle, the stone of a pale celadon tone suffused with caramel-russet inclusions; together with two jade dragon belthooks and a jade oval chilong plaque
Provenance
Acquired in the UK, circa 1958-1963.
Condition
The brushwasher or coupe in good general condition with extensive natural stone inclusions and flaws.
The belt hooks: both several small chips to extremities (the largest 3mm).
The plaque: with an old 10mm chip to one edge, minor stone flaws and inclusions.
