Description

  • gilt bronze, bases: wood
one seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base, the hands folded in dhyanamudra, wearing a dhoti with beaded jewels hanging on the open chest, the serene face surmounted by a five-point diadem in front of a high chignon, the other two seated with hands held in vitarkamudra supporting an attribute, all with wood stands

Condition

All with unsealed bases. General rubbing to the gilding and traces of pigment. The catalogue image from left to right: 1. The tip of the attribute is lost. The nose with a minor dent and the left hair tassel has a 0.8cm crack. There is a 1.2cm crack to the front of the base. There are minor dents, particularly to the lower body on the reverse (0.7x0.3cm). 2. The original attribute is lost, some loss to the hardstones. There are general nicks to the extremities. 3. There is a 1x0.3cm repaired rectangular break to the reverse at the base. Minor nicks to the extremities such as the tassel end.
