- gilt-bronze
seated in dhyanasana, the right hand held in vitarkamudra and the left hand in dhyanamudra supporting a vase, wearing a shawl and dhoti, the borders incised at the hems with lotus, its loose folds falling over the crossed legs in undulous folds, with a billowing celestial scarf around the shoulders and arms, the face with a benevolent expression surmounted by an elaborate five-point diadem surrounding a high chignon, all supported on a detachable lotus base raised on a hexagonal pedestal
Condition
The figure with some losses to stone inlay; approximately 20mm loss to top of ribbon securing headdress; small chips to extremities and wear to gilding.
The base in good condition with some old chips to lotus rim and tips; general wear to gilding and verdigris encrustation.
