each painted with a scene of scholars and acolytes in a river landscape with trees and distant pavilions, the straight neck with fruiting and flowering sprays, inscribed with a double-circle at the base

Condition

The vases are in very good condition with the exception of an old 11cm., long area of overpainting to the footring of one, a 4cm., bruise to the footring the other other, minor glaze firing imperfections including frits to the edge of the footrings and rims, tiny glaze pulls and glaze scratches. Whilst the vases are very similar in shape and decoration, it should be noted that the necks are a slightly different diameter.
