the deep rounded sides rising from a short slightly tapering foot to an everted flaring rim, painted to the interior with a dragon medallion encircled by two large scaly dragons writhing amidst lotus scrolls in the well, the exterior similarly decorated above a ruyi band at the foot, the base inscribed with a four-character Zhengde mark

Condition

This rare bowl has been restored following a 13cm., wide crescent shaped break to the rim, with two further breaks extending from either side of this across to the other side of the bowl, and associated smaller chips, cracks and losses.
