- bronze
the bombé body rising from three legs to a short waisted neck, the rim set with a pair of upright loop handles, the underside cast with a rectangular seal reading Chongzhen sannian Wenzhou Quanli xuan Zhu Hongwei gongyang. Sanhe jianzhong (offered by Zhu Hongwei from Quanli Pavilion in the third year of Chongzhen’s reign, corresponding to 1630), patinated to a chocolate-brown tone, the stand cast in the form of a lotus leaf, possibly later matched
Condition
The censer and stand are in good condition woth the exception of areas of uneven casting to the inside edge of the rim and handles, minor nicks to the rim and edges of the stand and light scrtaches to the patination.
