the globular body rising from three foliate legs, the side flanked by a leafy C-shaped handle opposite a curved fluted spout, carved in low relief with upright hibiscus blooms framed by European arabesque foliage, hemmed with a band of florets at the rim, the domed cover with overlapping lappets surmounted by a knop of curled leaves, the stone of an even pale celadon tone, wood stand
Condition
The ewer has a 0.4 x 0.2cm chip to the spout and other minor nibbling along the edges but is in otherwise excellent condition.
