Description

  • jade
carved recumbent with its legs tucked underneath and its long tail curled alongside, the head slightly turned to its right, clutching a sprig of bamboo in its beak, hollowed at the top with a circular aperture, the cover possibly later carved, the stone of a greyish pale celadon tone, wood stand

Condition

The carving is in good condition with the exception of tiny nicks to the edges of the bamboo leaves, the tail feathers and a possible area of loss or polish to the endof one tail feather.
