lying recumbent with its claws tucked under the body, the crowned head tilted slightly to its right, clutching a leafy bamboo twig in its beak and its claws, finely detailed with feathers, the stone of a pale celadon tone with russet veining

Condition

The carving is in very good condition. It should be noted that the stone is of a slightly darker celadon tone than the catalogue illustration would suggest.
