the pear-shaped body pierced with a broad undulating peony band to reveal the inner vase, all above upright leaf lappets and below floral scroll bands, applied overall with an olive-green glaze pooling in the recesses, fitted with a gilt-bronze base and neck

Condition
This rare vase has been examined with the mounts attached: it is in good condition with the exception of loss to the top of the neck and possible loss around the footring, a 12 x 10mm., flake to the floral reticulated area, a 2.5cm., hairline rim crack dissapearing up behind the metal mount, light glaze crazing and scratches.
