the compressed globular body, with two upright angular loop handles with impressed geometric decoration, supported on three slightly cabriole legs, the domed cover decorated with a single incised band encircling the low ring knob, the cover, handles and upper section of the vessel covered with a thin green glaze, Japanese wood box (3)

Japanese Collection, acquired before the 1960s.
Condition
The vessel has small chips to the inner and outer rims and one restored leg. The cover has a restored break and minor chips to the rim. There is an area of glaze loss to the exterior.
