of rectangular outline with a curved face, carved in shallow relief with a scene of poet Su Dongpo, Foyin and an attendant returning to the Red Cliff, their boat moored by the bank below, partially obsured by a large pine tree, incised with four lines from the poet's 'Latter Ode to the Red Cliff' arranged in two rows, followed by one seal reading Pian Shi, the translucent stone with some cloudy inclusions, wood stand (2)

Apart from a minor nick to the top edge of the underside, the piece is in overall good condition.
