well-carved standing with one hand clutching a staff with a double-gourd suspended down the back, the other hand stroking the long beard, a bat resting on the right shoulder and a recumbent deer with a lingzhi sprig in its mouth resting alongside, the contrasting colors of the stone used to enhance the compositional effect

Condition
There is a chip, an insipient chip, and a possibly polished chip to the edge of Shoulao's robe. A further two polished chips on both lingzhi heads and along the lingzhi branch.
