Description

  • porcelain
molded on each side with the 'Eight Trigrams'  between a low flared foot and short waisted neck, all covered in an unctuous gray-green glaze suffused with dark gray crackling, the foot dressed in dark brown, seal mark in underglaze blue

Provenance

Acquired by a U.S. Civil Affairs Officer in Asia between 1945-1946 and thence by descent.

Condition

There is a single burst air bubble on the rim and a small area of glaze pull to the base, otherwise the vase is in good condition.
