embellished with jade, cloisonné enamel, ivory, bone, wood, hardstone, and lacquer to form precious objects and scholarly accoutrements displayed on stands, all reserved on an ochre ground, the hardwood frame further embellished with reticulated ivory plaques, hardstone and jadeite, mounted in another frame carved with clouds and inlaid bats, supported in a trestle base carved with angular kuilong scrolls
Condition
The crest has been broken and repaired, and the top of the crest is missing. There are several repaired horizontal splits through the panel and cracks to the lacquer. The appliques have been restuck and several elements have been replaced. Both sides are missing its brackets. There are cracks and wear to the frame and both corners have been reinforced with metal brackets. Both back feet are broken with patched repairs, and there is a missing small section to one front foot.
