each carved in the shape of an artemisia leaf, with burlwood bases, the top of one decorated with a scene of five sages inspecting a Taiji diagram, the other with two sages beside a magnolia tree along with the mountain of longevity rising from the sea of good fortune and other auspicious symbols

Acquired in Singapore circa 1965.
Condition
The covers have scattered small chips to the rim edge. One has small cracks to the rim edge. The boxes have scattered small chips to the edges and cracks to the base.
