Description

the standing figure with hands raised to support some an attribute, wearing layered robes over his chain-linked armor, the ends of his sleeves wind-swept to impart a sense of motion, his hat and boots lacquered black, his gentle features highlighted with pigment

Condition

There are numerous scattered chips and typical cracks to the lacquer surface. There are also loses to the black lacquer on both boots, where the underlying wood is exposed. There is a break the the tip of the upright flap on the hat, a break to the right sleeve. One finger on the left hand appears to be replaced, and the right hand is also possibly replaced. There are also numerous areas where the gilt-lacquer has been touched up and repaired, The figure is attached to the base, which has also been repaired, and has chips to the pigment
